A sender ID is the name recipients see as the origin of an SMS. Dugble requires the from value on every SMS to match an approved sender ID owned by your team.

Register a sender ID

Create a sender ID with:
  • name: the requested sender name, up to 11 characters
  • country_code: a two-letter ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code
  • purpose: a clear description of the messages you intend to send, up to 500 characters
  • provider: an optional provider assignment when your Dugble setup requires one
Sender ID names may contain only letters and numbers, and they must include at least one letter.

Choose a recognizable name

Use your product or company name. Avoid names that could impersonate another organization or confuse recipients.

Describe the use case

Explain whether the sender will deliver authentication codes, account alerts, receipts, reminders, or another transactional workflow.

Wait for approval

New sender IDs begin in pending status and cannot be used until they are approved.

Use the approved value

Set from to the approved sender ID name in your SMS requests.

If from does not match an approved sender ID available to the authenticated team and destination, Dugble rejects the send request.

Country considerations

Sender ID rules vary by country and provider. A name approved for one market may require separate registration elsewhere, and some networks replace or restrict alphanumeric sender IDs.
Alphanumeric sender IDs are generally one-way. Do not build reply-based workflows unless your integration uses a reply-capable number and route.
